Siemens Batting:
The toss was won by Siemens and Azar (Siemens) choose to bat first. Honeywell opened the bowling with Rakesh and Lenin. Both struggled to contain the swinging ball. However an excellent piece of wicket keeping by Sam (Raju Sukuri) had Santosh stumped in the 2nd over. Further Honeywell came up with impressive bowling by Pavan and Ragavendra, sticking to bowling within line and with variations which had made the batsman choke for runs and ended up dismissing the top order and middle order batsman. Tulasi (Siemens) was hanging around with some lustly blows as he was witnessing the batting collapse at the other end. At the end of 11 over Siemens was 7 down for a score of 84 runs. Srini (Honeywell) was introduced in to the bowling attack in 12th over which had Tulasi (Siemens) caught by Rakesh in mid on due to a miss hit. Srini returned in the 14th over to finish of the tail as he dismissed Devi and Prem in consecutive balls to end the Siemens innings at 87 runs all out in 13.4 Over’s.
Honeywell Batting:
Honeywell opened with Sampath and Sam (Raju Sukuri), Sampath edged the very first ball of the innings from Santosh which was let off from wicket keeper Mohan. Siemens bowler’s continued their bowling with precise line and length and Prem (Siemens) had dismissed Sam(Honeywell) in the second over brilliantly caught by Santosh (Siemens). Siemens bowlers Santosh, Prem, Azar and Rajesh bowled their heart out in the first 10 overs. Shastha had walked in after the dismissal of Sam. Both Shastha and Sampath ensured that they kept the good balls out with extreme caution. Siemens on the other hand defending a small total of 87 ran out of good bowler’s to threaten Honeywell Batsman. Honeywell after 10 over was 37 / 1. Shastha after negating the good bowling soon found his shots striking 2 boundaries of Vignesh (Siemens) simplifying the equation who was ably guided from Sampath who struck 34 of 41 balls with 3 boundaries. However on a day where wickets fell in quick succession, having negated the good bowling early on by Siemens and striking 7 boundaries, scoring 44 Runs of 41 balls Shastha was adjudged as Man of the Match.
