Toss : ZenTech won the toss and choose to bat first
Ganga started Wipro bowling, got early chance of an easy catch to keeper in very first over but it was dropped. ZenTech utilized the catch drops and their openers, Narendra and Amar were successful in making up very good partnership of 89 in 12overs. After Narendra caught out in Sree bowling Anil joined Amar and both were un beaten and put a huge target of 174.
Sree started chasing target along with Ravi. Wipro got initial hiccup when Ravi got bowled while trying for a big shot in second over. Then Rajesh joined Sree and built decent partnership of 36 before Sree (18 off 13, 4x4) got out for a low kept ball. Then Sahoo joined Rajesh, who continued scoreboard running with 7 boundaries. After Rajesh given LBW, it was Dr. Sir turn with 3 fours. Sahoo stuck to one end, though Wipro lost three quick wickets from other end. At the end of 11 overs Wipro stood at score of 99, but having less wickets in hand giving good hope for ZenTech. Jawahar was sent at #8 at a stage of 75 more required of 9 overs with only 4 wickets in hand. He strategically rotated strike and gave more chance to settled batsmen. Both kept score board rolling and sent bad balls to boundaries. It came down to 25 required in 18 balls. Sahoo hit a boundary and gave chance to Jawahar, who hit two fantastic sixes and Wipro stood 8 runs behind Victory with two overs to spare. They could not wait till last over, completed formality in penultimate over with another boundary. Both remained unbeaten, Jawahar (31* off 20, 2x4, 2x6) and Sahoo (41* off 30, 6x4) was adjudged MOM.
